With the growing awareness of the upcoming 2008 US election, The Great Debate serves as an opportunity for our community to gain greater understanding of political issues through intelligent debate from both political perspectives. Open to expats, locals, and pretty much anyone wanting to expand their understanding of US politics, this debate should be both fun and educational for all who attend.
In the spirit of hosting a town-hall community presidential debate, the format will be 10-minute speeches followed by 5-minute rebuttals. The designated representatives will talk about the presidential candidates and their positions on the major political topics.
The event is free to the public, but registration is required. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We are currently at capacity with 350 attendants; however, please contact our office to be placed on a waiting list.
Cash bar is available - no refreshments will be served. Registration discouraged for children under age 13. Click here to register.
