Men's Slo-pitch Softball League

The Men’s Slo-pitch Softball League plays on Sundays at the Terror Club field in Sembawang. We have 9 teams in the league this year and are always looking for additional players. The 2010 season will begin in September. New players are always welcome. For more information contact David at sgleague@yahoo.com.

The league has been moved to SACAC effective August 2010.

Meet the 2009/2010 teams

The V Bears

V Bears, established last year in February 2008, has 20+ players (mainly Taiwaneses).

This is the second year we participate in the American Association of Singapore Slow Pitch Softball League. During off season, we organize self-practice at West Coast.

At V Bears, we play not only to win but also to have a good time. This team is open for everyone, even amateurs who just want to fulfill their childhood dreams.

The River Rats

FATTBOYZ

The 2009 Fattboyz; five over-holidayed teachers, a few fat kids, a bunch of wannabe weekend warriors, a couple guys with questionable Southeast Asian hobbies, one young chap smitten by a girl in Cali and Al Aspen.

Independently, we have done pretty much nothing with our lives, but together we form the most feared, most inconsistent team ever to grace our Terror Club field.

After a 2008 season that left us the envy of every once-was, never-will-be athlete in the expat community, we’ve adjusted to the leaguewide attempt to neuter us (the now infamous Harris’s Homerun Limit Rule) and will once again coast into the playoffs, tease our opponents into thinking they actually have a chance, and then finally…when the fifth inning hits and the mercy rule comes into play…we will rise to the top and reclaim yet another trophy for our already crowded trophy case.
