Established in 1947, the Ambassador's Cup Golf Tournament draws players of all abilities from around the region. Not only is there fantastic golf to be had, but also delicious food, cocktails, prizes and awards to cap off the event.

The Details
Grab your breakfast courtesy of The American Club then board a ferry from Singapore's Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal at 8:30 am for a easy, breezy, stress-free, 90-minute ride to Desaru. Be met at the terminal by the attentive staff from The Els Club who will whisk you to the Clubhouse to get your locker assignment where your goodie bag, shirt and cap will be waiting. For those who booked accommodation at Hard Rock Hotel, your suitcases will be tagged and taken to the hotel to be picked up after the tournament.
After you get settled, take the free shuttle to The Els Club to get your locker assignment where your goodie bag, shirt and cap will be waiting. Then enjoy a pre-round, buffet lunch. Finally, it's time for the big event: a shotgun start and an exhilarating day of tournament play on either the Ocean Course, billed as the best golf course in Southeast Asia. Finish the round with cocktails at the club sponsored by Brown-Forman, then head back to the hotel for a rocking awards dinner and live music concert. Fab, right? For those who need to leave, a bus will return to Singapore after the awards dinner.
On Sunday after breakfast, you have two options: take a special 11:00 bus back to Singapore or stay and play for the day. You can either add an extra day of golf (see below for extra golf details) or head to the water park attached to the hotel (those staying at the hotel get a free ticket to the water park) or do something else fab. Here are some other suggestions. Then catch the 5:30 pm ferry. You decide!

Top up your ticket and take the ferry or/and bus. Trust us. The ferry is the way to go. No stress. No traffic at the border crossing. It's fab! March 11 is a local school holiday weekend in Singapore and Malaysia so driving may add hours to your journey as the crossings will likely be backed up.

Drive the course in a shared electric golf cart with a state-of-the-art Visage GPS system and try your luck on our novelty holes. We will be playing on both the Ocean and Valley courses. Every year, the Ambassador's Cup chooses a charity to support. This year's charity is =DREAMS, a residential model that provides after-school academic and holistic support so that each child can focus on reaching their potential for a tertiary education. =DREAMS will launch in the 2023 school year, offering a full range of programs with a focus on Academic Support, Differentiated Programs. These are designed according to the specific need of each age band and can include coding classes, eco-citizenship cultivation lessons, leadership and critical-thinking focused training. Additionally, =DREAMS will work with community partners to provide access and guidance for our children to stay healthy and take care of their minds and bodies through Nutrition, Health and Wellness programs.
We are thrilled to welcome XCL American Academy (XAA) as our title sponsor this year. An American International School in Singapore, XAA offers high-quality, rigorous and accessible American education for children aged 2 – 14. Established in 2021, XCL American Academy opened its doors to its first cohort of students in August 2022 as the third international school to offer a pure American education to students in Singapore.

Following the tournament, registered hotel guests can join us for our always-fun Awards Dinner at SESSIONS Restaurant by Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast. Enjoy a full buffet menu with live stations such as burgers, tacos and satays and free-flow beer and wine for two hours. Want hard liquor? You can treat yourself at the hotel's bar. After dinner, hang at SESSIONS for a live concert, Hard Rock style.

Send the kids to the absolutely fabulous Roxity Kids Club for children age 4+ while you enjoy some spa treatments with a musical twist at the Rock Spa. Oh and there's more! The hotel backs up onto Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast, a massive waterpark, home to the first-ever water coaster in the region and one of the biggest wave pools in the world!
