About the Event
Chinatown is always fascinating, and even more bustling and exciting during Chinese New Year celebration. As we wander through the streets of this busy neighborhood, learn about the history, customs, taboos and traditions of this colourful festival. Enjoy the lights and ambience at this time of year where beautiful Pussy Willows, cheery Chrysanthemums, Kumquats, and colourful decorations are out in full display. We will visit a bakery that makes traditional Chinese cakes, meet sellers of incense and paper money, see a clan house and explore a temple with a storied past. At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to do some festive shopping. This is an excellent event for the whole family!
