Get a taster of the Mighty Kids Art Camp with this one-off interactive art session designed specifically for our Hump Day Help series with Mighty Kids Art Camp Leader Alejandra Chavez. Alejandra will kick the session off talking to our kid participants about insects adn bugs, and guide them through this fun to make 2D and 3D pop-up insects project, giving inspirations and tips along the way.  

Alejandra has more than 30 years of experience teaching art and as an empowerment coach. She has spent a lot of time in the past two years due to Covid honing her skills in teaching children online and keeping them engaged. This summer, she is launching the Mighty Kids Art Camp Series, which are 3-day online art camps all of July and August. Alejandra is also the founder of Mighty Girl Mighty Life, a unique and fun girl empowerment program that uses art to engage and inspire girls to be happier and confident in themselves. She believes that if we can reach girls when they are young, then we truly empower them to become the mighty girls they were born to be.

Supplies Needed (not included in registration fee, but may be ordered separately):

- Markers, colored pencils

- Drawing pencil and eraser

- White and Black Paper

- Assortment of colored construction paper (A4 160GSM) (may be purchased at Popular)

- Assortment of other types of paper like origami, wrapping paper, etc for decorating

- Glue-stick

Optional supplies:

- Glitter

- Googly eyes

- Pipe cleaners
