About the Event
We all think of Singapore as this beautiful, clean city, right? Truth is, keeping it that way takes a lot of work! Littering continues to be a perennial issue year after year. Singapore's dream to be a clean garden city is only made possible due to an army of cleaners islandwide. Despite having fines in place, our community spaces like void decks, playgrounds and car parks are constantly littered with tissue paper, cigarette stubs, food packaging, plastic bottle and more.
Please join the American Association of Singapore and Stamford American International School on Sunday, April 24th for a Block Walk around the neighborhood of Potong Pasir to support Habitat for Humanity's mission to bring clean and safe living environments in the home and beyond. By volunteering in Block Walk, we learn what it means to care for one’s living space beyond the four corners of our homes.
Gather your family, friends and colleagues for this activity. It's a great way to spend some time together while helping the community.
