Effective Cross-Cultural Communication Across the Borders - East meets West

At its best, cultural diversity brings great ideas, creative problem solving and a lot of fun. At its worst, it leads to breakdown in communication, inefficiency and stress. In our globalised world we need to be culturally aware as well as culturally competent. What are some of the key cultural differences that are impacting us, particularly in this region? We are going to look at cultural dimensions that help identify as well as bridge cultural differences. Participants are encouraged to share their experience, so that we can discuss their real life scenarios. Subjects we will cover include language, communication patterns, hierarchy, conflict handling and networking. Participants will also have the chance to create a brief cultural profile for themselves. The session is planned to be informative and interactive.
