About Corporate Community Day:
Each year, AmCham Singapore and the U.S. Embassy organize Corporate Community Day (CCD), a special day that encourages all American organizations in Singapore and their employees to build stronger ties with Singapore through local community work. This is the 15th year of the program.
CCD symbolizes the continued commitment companies bring to their communities while demonstrating how small acts, when added together can make a difference. The campaign has become the largest one-day volunteer event in Singapore, with over 60 companies conducting various activities island wide, affecting thousands of beneficiaries from all walks of life.
About AmCham's Walk for Rice:
As part of CCD, AmCham Singapore is hosting an event for staff members and others in the community. With their partnership with South East CDC, AmCham Singapore is organizing the AmCham Walk for Rice to raise bowls of rice for needy families in Singapore. For every 100 meters that you walk, AmCham will donate one bowl of rice to a needy family in Singapore. This year’s event will be attended by Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath, Chargé d’Affaires, ad interim at the U.S. Embassy.
