Golf Tournament

ACGT 2024 w Sponsors 4-18.jpg
What an experience! Join us as we celebrate the XCL American Academy 75th Ambassador's Cup Golf Tournament presented by American Association of Singapore! Yup - 75 years! So we're planning to make this tourney bigger and better than ever!

For our 75th, we're playing at the stunning Laguna National Golf Resort Club right here in Singapore. As always, the event is more than just a round of golf. Golfers will enjoy lunch, F&B on the course, novelty holes, a cocktail hour and, of course, a big awards ceremony. And there will be prizes galore!

THE DETAILS

Start your day by dropping off your bag and picking up your fabulous goodie bag, shirt, and locker assignment.

Head to The Nest, a great members’ outlet restaurant right in front of the finishing holes of the Masters Course. There, you can enjoy your buffet lunch and get ready for your amazing day.

Then it’s time for the big event - a shotgun start on the beautiful Masters Course. Affectionately dubbed 'The Grand Old Lady,' the recently renovated Masters Course is a much-loved treasure that has stood the test of time. For the best part of three decades, the Andy Dye-sculpted layout has been lauded for its fast and true Bermuda grass greens, towering rain trees, and beautiful lakes.

Along the way, enjoy some delicious snacks and beer provided by The American Club as well as The Glendronach 12 highballs lby Brown-Forman on the course. Try your hand at our novelty holes. Can you Beat the Pro? Who will take home the Longest Drive? Art Works Advisory is sponsoring a champagne hole and the Nearest to the Pin where you could take him a prize and a piece of art!

After golf, clean up in the newly-renovated locker rooms, then head to a cocktail hour featuring The Glendronach 12 highballs by Brown-Forman.

Post cocktails, join us for the Awards Dinner featuring an international buffet. Yum! Who will be the big winners? Sign up, and it could be you!

THE CHARITY

Every year, the Ambassador's Cup chooses a charity to support. This year's charity is ART:DIS (Arts & Disability Singapore). Formerly known as Very Special Arts Singapore, ART: DIS is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to creating learning and livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities in the arts. Started in 1993 by Ambassador-at-Large Professor Tommy Koh, ART:DIS organizes a wide range of programs for persons with disabilities to develop their artistic interests, grow their self-confidence, and engage them as active members of a supported community outside and beyond formal education. ART:DIS also offers professional development pathways by providing sustainable and meaningful livelihood opportunities, empowering them to live independently in the community.  At the core of ART:DIS is a strong appreciation for the unique strengths and perspectives of people with disabilities and a belief that the arts offer us a lens to understand who they are, to connect with, and to experience the world together.
