An Old-Fashioned Fourth of July

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT! Unfortunately, the Singapore government is being very strict with the numbers allowed to attend the event (Covid restrictions are still in place) and our event is now sold out.

American Association of Singapore and Singapore American School are thrilled to celebrate Fourth of July with you! Because of renovations at Singapore American School's campus, we are holding this event at Marina Barrage which is such an iconic and super cool venue!

We promise you'll have a ton of fun basking in the wide open green space while you enjoy live Dixieland music, a roving magician, and lots of contests such as watermelon eating and a pie bakeoff plus games such as tug-of-war and sack races for the kids. Eat yummy food, play old-fashioned lawn games galore and try your hand at some crafts.

Here's what we have in store for you:

LIVE MUSIC

We are delighted to have New Stream Brass Band roaming the event, performing traditional Dixieland jazz for us live!

SOME MAGIC

Look out for our roving magician who will enthral you with his magic tricks and illusions!

CONTESTS

Best dressed

• Show off your red, white and blue and your American spirit by dressing your whole family up in your favorite 4th of July garb. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed!!

Pie Bake-Off 

• Calling all bakers! If you think you have a winning pie recipe, please bring along your baked treat for a chance to win some great prizes!  Stay tuned for info about the judges.

Watermelon Speed-Eating 

• Love watermelon? Join a speed-eating contest for both kids and adults! 

FOOD

• Free flow popcorn, candy floss and snow cones for all!
• Gourmet hot dogs will be available for purchase from The American Club
• More vendors are signing on, too.

Please note that no alcohol will be sold at the event.

LAWN GAMES

Come play some old-fashioned lawn games such as limbo, cornhole toss, hopscotch, ring toss and  more!! Enter into the competitions such as the sack race, egg & spoon race, three-legged race and tug-of-war.

REGISTRATION

Registration ends on July 1,  but be sure to sign up now as the first 150 orders will receive a special PICNIC MAT, so don't delay. Space is limited which means you need to  sign up early to grab a spot. Please note; one picnic blanket per family or/and email address registered. Please don't register several times to score more than one blanket per family. That way, there will be plenty of blankets to go around. Thanks for your cooperation on this!

VOLUNTEERS

We need an army of volunteers to help with this event. Volunteers get free entry and a swank shirt. New this year: Scouts can earn a community service patch for helping out. Sign up here.

REFUNDS

No refunds will be offered after June 18. This is a rain or shine event. In the event of severe weather, the event will be cancelled with no refunds given. Thanks for your understanding.
