About the Event
Come learn to make your favorite Turkish dishes at this super fun cooking class! Have a blast and give back at the same time! All profits will go to Singapore Red Cross, earmarked for earthquake relief.
Giving back is part of the American ethos so leaders of Singapore's American organizations came together and decided we needed to do some sort of community-wide fundraiser. AAS is spearheading the effort. All nationalities are welcome to attend!
THE CLASS
People will work in teams to create the menu below and then we'll all feast together. Yum!
MENU:

Mains - Chicken skewers with fattoush salad
Dessert - Baklava
Please note that the above menu contains the following allergens: Wheat, yeast, garlic, onion, sesame, nuts & dairy. Special dietary requirements such as vegetarians can be catered for. Please specify this information in the registration form.
COCKTAILS
Brown-Forman is generously donating cocktails for the evening.
PRICE
$150 - includes class, dinner and cocktails

No funds will go to AAS. Space is limited so sign up early. Children are welcome. As this is a fundraiser, there is no discounted price for kids or AAS members.
DONATE ONLINE
Can't attend the event, but still want to give back? Or maybe you want to donate more than the ticket price? Great! Donate here directly to Singapore Red Cross through the American Fundraiser for Earthquake Relief designated portal.
ABOUT THE EARTHQUAKES
The devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake near the Türkiye-Syria border in the early hours of February 6 was followed by another one nearly as strong. The earthquakes that struck Türkiye and Syria caused one of the biggest disasters to impact the region in recent times. As of March 13, more than 55,700 deaths were confirmed: more than 48,400 in Türkiye-, and more than 7,200 in Syria with tens of thousands more people injured. Thousands of buildings have collapsed, leaving countless people exposed to unforgiving winter conditions. Schools and hospitals have been destroyed. The earthquakes struck as the humanitarian crisis in northwest Syria was already at the highest level since the conflict began, with 4.1 million people relying on humanitarian assistance to subsist. Financial assistant is what they need - and will need for years to come.
