Spring Fling FAQs
Q: Will there be horse racing?
A: No Kentucky Derby party would be complete without a race! Representatives from American organizations, including AAS, Boy Scouts of America Troop 07, Navy League and Singapore American School and The American Club will compete on (hobby) horseback over a super fun obstacle course to be the first ever champion of the Spring Fling Cup! We'll also have a relay race for the kids, sponsored by Stamford American International School.
Q: What's the charitable element?
A: We'll have a dedicated "betting" booth for guests (cash only), with all funds raised going to the charity nominated by the winning organization. All “betters” who choose the winning horse will also be entered into a lucky draw for a fun prize.
Q: What should I wear?
A: We'd love to see your bow ties and big hats. Themed dress is encouraged! Click here for inspo.
Q: What activities are available for my kids?
A: Weather permitting, there will be a bouncy castle for free play and we're planning a fun hobby horse race. There's a large lawn great for burning off some energy. We'll also have craft activities, as well as Giant Jenga and Cornhole for the older kids to enjoy.
Q: What is the schedule for the afternoon?
4pm - Free play, crafts, drinks and buffet
4:30pm - Welcome followed by hobby horse races
5:30-6pm - Cake cutting and free play
Live bluegrass-style music by the Downtown Mountain Boys throughout the afternoon
