About AAS
American Association of Singapore (AAS) is a 108-year-old non-profit organization, the oldest American organization in Singapore. Over the years, AAS has founded most of the other American organizations in Singapore: AmCham, AWA, Singapore American Football League, Singapore American School and The American Club. All of these organizations sit on the AAS Board along with the US Embassy and the US Embassy.
AAS is the center of American culture in Singapore. As such, the organization often connects organizations to work together on events or initiatives.
AAS plans and executes many events throughout the year, some small, some quite large. Our marquee events include the George Washington Ball, Fourth of July, Fall Fest, Thanksgiving and Toys for Tots. Additionally, AAS has rolled out an initiative for 2026, “90 Acts of Charity.” The goal is to bring all the American orgs to complete 90 charitable acts benefitting Singapore, a nod to the 90th year of the George Washington Ball.
