Fourth of July

Happy birthday, USA!

Sponsor Banner-01.jpg
This event is SOLD OUT and no tickets can be sold at the door! So sorry for those of you who wanted to attend. the government is being very strict with our numbers. Thank you for understanding!

American Association of Singapore and Singapore American School are thrilled to celebrate Fourth of July with you! Because of renovations at Singapore American School's campus, we are holding this event at Marina Barrage this year – such an iconic and super cool venue!

We promise you'll have a ton of fun basking in the wide open green space while you enjoy live Dixieland music, a roving magician, and lots of contests such as watermelon eating and a pie bakeoff plus law games like tug-of-war and sack races for the kids. Eat yummy food, play old-fashioned lawn games galore and try your hand at some crafts.

This event is sponsored by Singapore American School. Thank you for working with us to give the American community this wonderful event.

For those of you attending, here's what you need to know. Remember, it's the Fourth of July, but celebrated on Saturday, July 2 because Singapore doesn't give us the 4th off!

  • The event is on Rooftop C of Marina Barrage on July 2, from 4-9 pm.

  • Everyone receives a picnic blanket (one per family), so no need to pack one!

  • There will be no chairs or tables, but you may bring your own chairs.

  • Parking is very limited so we encourage guests to take public transport or taxis.

  • Traffic can get very busy in the evening so allow enough time to get to the event.

  • Don't forget the sunscreen and bug spray!

  • Bring cash or PayNow to pay for food and drinks.

  • No pets allowed.

  • There are no kites allowed on the day of the event due to air restrictions in place for National Day rehearsal.

  • Toilets are located downstairs one level below the roof. We also have our own porta-potties at the end of the ramp behind Solar Park.

  • Due to air space restrictions for National Day rehearsal, we will not have fireworks this year. But hey, we should get a few flyovers instead!

  • Open flames are also not allowed which means no sparklers. But don't fret! We will have lots of light-up toys for the kids. These will be handed out just as it gets dark.

  • This is a rain or shine event. However, in the case of severe weather with lightning, the event will be canceled. Please check this website for updates on the day.
