Want a break from the concrete jungle?
For those who wish to take a break from the concrete jungle and catch a glimpse of what Singapore was like before it evolved into the modern city it is today. The Nostalgic Bike and Bite tour (approximately 15km) will take you to the island's most nostalgic areas of Katong & Joo Chiat. Declared as Singapore’s first Heritage Town in 2011, this East Coast enclave still holds timeless treasures and insight into the rich Peranakan cultural heritage of the 1950s. The area’s identity is especially shaped by its unique pre-war architecture – colourful, two-story shophouses and terrace houses with ornate facades, intricate motifs and ceramic tiles. It's also one of the country’s favorite foodie destinations well-loved by many Singaporeans.
