Many of us expats have been living in Singapore quite some time so we are used to the fantastic display of fireworks and patriotism on August 9. event. Don't worry: those flyovers are not another nation attacking us. Nope! The
pilots are simply practicing for the big day. And they practice the fireworks, too.
So if you can't make the big display on August 9, sneak out a couple of
weekends before to grab a glimpse.
