High School On Track
Insider Scoop: How US and UK Universities Make Admissions Decisions
The university admissions processes in the US and UK differ greatly, so it’s important for students who may apply to universities in either the US or UK to understand how their applications will be evaluated.
IvyWise Premier Counselor Christine, who served as an Assistant Director of Admissions at both Yale and Georgetown, will cover the holistic US admissions process and the Common Application, as well as the UK evaluation process and UCAS, giving students insider knowledge on what universities are looking for in applicants.
This presentation will provide families with expert insight into what types of university experiences they might want to consider (large university vs. liberal arts) and whether a US or UK university might be the best fit for them.
Families will come away with a firm understanding of how these university admissions systems work, what their students need to consider when making university admissions goals, and how decisions are made so they can ultimately stand out in the highly competitive admissions process.
