CRCE: Network and Communicate Across the Borders - East meets West


Whether you’re seeking a new position or running your own business in Singapore, cultural sensitivities are important across the borders.   At its best, cultural diversity brings great ideas, creative problem solving and a lot of fun. At its worst, it leads to breakdown in communication, inefficiency and stress. In our globalised world we need to be culturally aware as well as culturally competent.  In order to make strong connections you need to communicate effectively.

 

Have you ever thought that the meeting/interview went well but later discovered that you were misunderstood?

 

In this workshop, you would learn about the key cultural differences that are impacting us particularly in this region. We are going to look at cultural dimensions that help identify as well as bridge cultural differences.   Participants are encouraged to share their experience, so that we can discuss their real life scenarios. Subjects we will cover include language, communication patterns, hierarchy and conflict handling. Participants will also have the chance to create a brief cultural profile for themselves. The session is planned to be informative and interactive.

*CRCE Cancellation & Refund policy: CRCE reserves the right to cancel workshops. In the event of cancellation by AAS, registrants can opt to attend another workshop or receive a full refund. AAS does not issue refunds for workshops. If registrants contact AAS (crce.info@aasingapore.com) at least 24 hours prior to the workshop start time, he/she will be issued a credit that can be applied to any same priced CRCE workshop within the following 90 days. In the event of a no-show or day of workshop cancellation, no credit will be issued.

Zsuzsanna Tungli is the Founder and Managing Partner of Developing Global Leaders Asia. With over 20 years of international experience she is an expert in the areas of global leadership, international and virtual teams, cross-cultural competence and global mobility. Zsuzsanna leads consulting projects, and designs and facilitates company-specific programmes for multinational corporations in Europe and Asia. She also performs team and individual executive coaching for senior and middle managers. As a lecturer, Zsuzsanna has taught at graduate and Executive MBA programs on cultural intelligence, global leadership and expatriation at the University of St Gallen, Switzerland, the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, in Bucharest, Romania and at London Business School, United Kingdom. Zsuzsanna earned a Ph.D. in international business at London Business School, UK and completed her MBA in general management at the Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. In her first degree she graduated as an economist from the Corvinus University in Budapest, Hungary.


A Hungarian national, Zsuzsanna has lived and worked in many countries, including Switzerland, Italy, the UK, USA and Thailand. Currently she resides in Singapore with her British husband and two children.
